Anadarko Petroleum is within weeks of choosing between one and three contractors to carry out upstream front-end engineering and design studies on a large subsea gas project off the coast of Mozambique.
The development is planned to supply the East African nation’s first LNG export project.
The prize at the end of the reimbursable FEED studies, which were originally due to start two months ago, is a potential $3 billion turnkey development contract covering pipelines, flowlines and umbilicals at the Prosperidade field.
