Alaska Governor Sean Parnell is pushing for an LNG export plant to allow the state’s natural gas to be shipped to higher priced Asian markets rather than sent to the US by pipeline.

Parnell has been in talks with TransCanada, ExxonMobil, BP and ConocoPhillips about building a potential liquefaction project, the governor revealed at an event in Anchorage, according to Dow Jones newswires.
