Woodside is assessing whether to sell a minority equity stake in the Browse LNG export project on the back of “significant interest from a number of parties”.
The developer said it has yet to make any decision and is conducting a limited process to evaluate its options.
“This process provides an opportunity to assess possible early value realisation,” said Woodside.
The Australian company intends to remain as operator of the liquefaction plant.
