Turkey has received its first cargo from a RasGas-chartered Q-Flex vessel.

Qatari producer RasGas said the 215,000-cbm Al Utouriya (built 2008) dropped a spot cargo off at the Aliaga LNG terminal.

The company has been supplying cargoes to Turkey’s EgeGaz since 2009 but has yet to use a Nakilat-owned Q-Flex, the second largest class of LNG carriers after Qatar’s Q-Max.

The delivery “is a demonstration of our operational versatility and capability for delivering into Turkey,” said RasGas marketing and shipping executive Khalid Al Kuwari.
