Turkey expects to sign a deal to import 2.5 billion to 3 billion cubic metres per annum of LNG from Qatar if it can settle on the price.
Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said this weekend that a preliminary agreement would be signed between Turkish pipeline operator Bota and Qatargas.
“We would like to make two agreements with Qatar: one short-term and one long-term,” he said in a news conference.
