Tokyo Gas has signed a preliminary agreement to renew a sales and purchase deal with Malaysia LNG.
The Japanese utility intends to buy around 900,000 tonnes of LNG per annum from the MLNG Dua export project in Bintulu over 10 years.
This will start from April 2015, after the original contract expires.
Tokyo Gas has been buying LNG from the Malaysian liquefaction plant since 1995.
