South Korea's LNG imports surged last month after a sharp drop in November.
The world's second largest market for the fuel imported 4.8 million tonnes, a 46.6% jump on December 2010, according to a Dow Jones Newswire report of customs data.
The country paid $3.6 billion for the imports, or about $750 per tonne.
