South Africa’s national oil company PetroSA and state gas agency iGas are looking into the feasibility of importing LNG into the country.
Energy minister Dipuo Peters also revealed during parliamentary questions that other private companies are investigating regasification, reports Engineering News.
Earlier this year, Italian energy outfit Eni signed a preliminary agreement with PetroSA to work together to study joint initiatives for LNG imports.
