Shell is working on a project to provide LNG as a fuel for ships in Rotterdam, chief executive Peter Voser said this week.
The Anglo-Dutch supermajor is maturing fuelling developments worldwide, including an effort to provide LNG to the heavy-duty trucking industry in China, he added.
Voser gave no details on either plan but the port of Rotterdam has been actively pursuing ship fuelling infrastructure to complement the Gate LNG import terminal that began operations last year.
