Indian importer Petronet LNG has posted a 18.8% rise in quarterly profits.

The company reported 2.45 billion rupees ($46.5 million) in the fiscal fourth quarter, compared to 2.07 billion rupees a year earlier.

The figures, however, were below analyst expectations in Mumbai. Numbers crunchers polled by Dow Jones had estimated 2.94 billion rupees in fourth-quarter earnings.
