Malaysian operator Petronas Carigali is laying the groundwork for a proposed offshore gas development that will provide feedstock for its planned ninth liquefaction train at Bintulu in Sarawak.
Petronas is understood to be preparing to call a design competition soon for the fast-track development of a pair of gas discoveries in Block SK 316, with the aim of bringing them on stream by the end of 2015.
