Indonesia’s Pertamina is hoping to strike a deal for cargoes from the compatriot Tangguh LNG project currently contracted to China National Offshore Oil Corporation.
Pertamina spokesman Mochamad Harun told local reporters that the government-controlled company has offered to pay $10 per million British thermal units for 1.5 million tonnes per annum for its West Java LNG terminal.
He claimed that price would more than what CNOOC is paying for volumes into its Fujian LNG import facility in China as part of a 25-year supply deal with BP-led Tangguh, according to the Jakarta Post.
