Pakistan is mulling an agreement with Algeria to supply the country’s planned LNG import capacity.
Algerian Trade Minister Mustapha Benbada said his country’s Energy and Mines Ministry has held talks with Pakistani counterparts over a potential deal, according to the APS government news agency.
Pakistan is hoping to build an LNG terminal at Karachi, although the project has encountered numerous setbacks.
The government recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Qatar for 500 million cubic feet per day of supply.
