Oman LNG hopes to put spare capacity to work in a few yearsas a domestic gas demand gap closes.

That would allow the exporter to boost shipments by 1.5million to 2 million tonnes per annum, chief executive Brian Buckley toldReuters.

He said the added production could hit the market in 2016 or2017.

“That is when we see the domestic supply situation easing,mainly because of additional gas coming onstream,” he said.
