Kyushu Electric and Kansai Electric may restart some of their shuttered nuclear capacity this year, which could lead to less bullish expectations for Japan’s 2012 LNG demand.
The two utilities are said to be furthest along in an approval process set up by the Tokyo government to test and then reopen nuclear plants that have closed across the country following an earthquake last March.
