• A Japanese consortium led by Tokyo Electric Power Company has signed on the dotted line to buy equity and off-take from the Chevron-led Wheatstone LNG project. The partners will own 8% of the export plant and 10% of the upstream gas fields. Tepco will buy an additional 400,000 tonnes per annum from the Australian export plant. The joint venture picks up 700,000 tpa in equity off-take, all of which will be supplied to Tepco.
