LNG supply will grow by 4.5% per annum to 2030, a rate twice as fast as total global gas production, according to BP’s latest long-term energy outlook.
The supermajor expects gas production to rise by just 2.1% per annum in comparison.
The forecast also sees LNG contributing 25% of global supply growth between 2010-2010, up from 19% for 1990-2010.
