Hamburg has launched a study that could lead to the construction of a new LNG terminal at the German port city.
The facility would be primarily targeted at LNG fuelling, which is expected to grow on the Northern European coast as a result of tighter emissions regulations for shipping, a Hamburg Port Authority spokesman said.
Stakeholders are also examining whether to target LNG fuelling for road vehicles, he added.
