The word “supermajor” screams huge – huge funds, huge investments and huge projects.

But a clever supermajor also recognises the importance of the little things because, in the LNG business, size isn’t everything.

Shell this week moved in on small-scale LNG player Gasnor as the Anglo-Dutch outfit scooped up the
remaining shares in the company.

Without having to dig too deep into its pockets, Shell has secured itself a fully functioning supply chain in the Norwegian market.
