A rash of earnings reports from the major LNG market players this week underscored Asia’s growing gravitational pull.



BG Group and GDF Suez, for example, have seen cargo diversions to the region increase significantly. Major Asian buyers are voicing their unwillingness, however, to continue to rely on spot cargoes for additional volumes.
