LNG provided a ray of sunshine for shipping players meeting in Athens this week. Sectors within Greek owners’ traditional comfort zone, tankers and bulk carriers, both continue to suffer from vessel oversupply.
In a presentation at the TradeWinds Shipping Forum, Braemar Seascope research head Mark Williams said the shipbroking house expects demand for LNG carriers to outpace supply at least through 2016.
