Uncertainty continues to cloud the Gulf LNG export project, which could be Papua New Guinea’s second liquefaction plant when it finally gets off the ground.
There can be no doubt, however, that developer InterOil has plenty of gas to underpin at least one LNG project.
Working with partner Pacific LNG in the Liquid Niugini Gas joint venture, the company has been pursuing twin land-based and floating liquefaction plants for their site on the Gulf of Papua coast.
