Kogas is being linked to potential interest in US LNG supply in the wake of a landmark contract between BG Group and Cheniere Energy.
The UK gas giant signed a preliminary 20-year deal for 3.5 million tonnes per annum from Cheniere’s Sabine Pass facility last week.
Proposals to liquefy about 80 million tonnes per annum are under consideration in the US, according to energy investment bank Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co.
