Korea Gas has seen its downstream gas sales grow modestly in August as city gas sales made up for a power sector slump.
The wholesaler, the world’s largest LNG buyer, sold the equivalent of 1.84 million tonnes, a 2.3% improvement on August 2010.
City gas sales to residential and business customers jumped by 11.9% to 846,000 tonnes of LNG equivalent.
But 993,000 tonnes in sales to the power generation sector was a 4.6%
