Indian Oil Minister Jaipal Reddy has revealed forecasts of further decline in India’s KG-D6 gas field.
Production at the Reliance Industries-led field is set to fall to 20 million cubic feet per day in the 2014-2015 fiscal year, he told lawmakers in a written response to questions.
The continued downward spiral at the field, where UK supermajor BP was added as a junior shareholder, is likely to buoy calls for added LNG infrastructure in India.
