Kansai Electric has received its first cargo from the Pluto LNG project in Australia.

The 165,000-cbm Woodside Donaldson (built 2009) arrived Monday at the Japanese utility’s Himeji LNG terminal.

The vessel is understood to have unloaded a partial cargo.

Pluto operator Woodside produced first LNG at the liquefaction plant late last month.

The one-train, 4.3 million tonnes per annum export facility is fed by gas from the Pluto field in the Carnarvon Basin in Western Australia.
