Tokyo-based JX Nippon Oil & Energy has finalised a sales and purchase agreement with Shell for 17 years of LNG supply.
Shell’s Singapore subsidiary, Shell Eastern Trading, will provide JX Nippon with three cargoes, or around 200,000 tonnes, per annum. Deliveries will start in April 2015.
LNG will come from multiple sources in Shell’s portfolio.
The volumes will be delivered to the Hachinohe terminal under construction in Aomori, Japan, and the operational Mizushima import facility in Okayama.
