Indian MP raises flag over import deal pricing

An Indian member of parliament is calling for a probe into an LNG pricing agreement between Petronet LNG and RasGas of Qatar.

Mukesh Gadhavi from Gujarat has written to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh challenging the $12.66 per million British thermal units tag to be attached in 2014 to a long-term deal for of 7.5 million tonnes per annum of LNG.

Gadhavi is contesting numerous changes to the pricing agreement since the Indian importer first tendered for supplies in 1999.
