Spain’s Iberdrola has delivered its first cargo under a 10-year deal with BP.
The 147,208-cbm Arctic Lady (built 2006, pictured) offloaded the shipment from Norway’s Snohvit plant at the Bahia de Bizkaia Gas terminal near Bilbao.
Iberdrola signed a deal in May to deliver 500 million cubic metres per annum of gas equivalent to the UK supermajor at Spanish import terminals.
The Madrid-based energy player plans to deliver the next cargo at Huelva.
