Singapore’s ambition to become a trading hub for South East Asia in the near term has provoked scepticism given the city state’s own need for LNG.

 

However, terminal developer Singapore LNG is likely to seek to enhance operations at its facility as capacity grows.

 

“The priority will be security of supply but when there is spare capacity they will be looking at how to get extra value out of that asset,” said Wood Mackenzie’s Graham Tyler.
