Hawaii's The Gas Company has tapped US engineer CH2M Hill to help it pursue a plan to receive LNG from the US mainland.
The utility, an affiliate of Australian bank Macquarie, is also seeking regulatory approval for the plan, company officials told local media.
The company, which currently supplies synthetic natural gas to customers in the US archipelago, plans to start with shipments in ISO-type shipping containers.
