GDF Suez has named executive committee member Pierre Clavel as its new head of gas and LNG business development.
As new executive vice president for global gas and LNG, Clavel will help the French gas and power giant’s top brass coordinate a partnership with China Investment Corporation (CIC).
The Chinese sovereign wealth fund teamed up with GDF Suez late last year in deals that saw it take equity stakes in the French company’s exploration and production division, and its holdings in Trinidad & Tobago’s Atlantic LNG production facility.
