French utility GDF Suez has signed a supply deal with Gail (India) to sell 12 cargoes of LNG to the Indian importer.
The medium-term agreement covers shipments during 2013 and 2014 up to a total of 800,000 tonnes.
“This agreement with GDF Suez is yet another step by Gail to bridge the demand-supply deficit of the Indian market in the medium term,” said Gail managing director B C Tripathi.
