US policymakers are under pressure to get LNG exports moving quickly to support gas production.
A group of politicians wrote to Energy Secretary Steven Chu this week calling for more urgency in the approvals process for liquefaction facilities, claiming production could drop if companies do not have access to more end-users.
Underscoring the gloom, the Energy Information Administration has trimmed its 2012 estimate for gas production.
