East Africa’s potential as a future LNG exports big-hitter is looking ever stronger as another country in the region hits gas.

Mozambique and Tanzania are already hot houses with a total of nearly 200 trillion cubic feet of reserves expected to be discovered across both countries, according to Wood Mackenzie estimates.

Of that, 100 Tcf has already been found, which the consultancy predicts could alone support up to 16 LNG export trains.

Now Kenya has joined the party with an offshore discovery.
