Qatari producer RasGas and Taiwan’s CPC signed a new long-term supply deal today.
The 20-year agreement will see the Asian nation’s only LNG buyer take 1.5 million tonnes per annum beginning in 2013, with the figure rising to unspecified levels between 2012 and 2016.
Qatari Energy Minister Mohammed Al-Sada and CPC chairman Shao-Hua Chu signed the deal in a ceremony at the World Petroleum Conference in Doha.
