Court rules in Edison, RasGas supply dispute

Italian energy company Edison Tuesday claimed a “positive conclusion” to an arbitration case relating to a long-term LNG supply deal with RasGas.

A company statement said the Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce “has accepted the merits of Edison’s positions” in a dispute over the revision of the price of LNG supplied by the Qatari exporter.

The impact of the ruling will have a positive impact on Edison’s core earnings in 2012 to the tune of €450 million ($576 million), the company said.
