China’s LNG sector posted a year-on-year rise in LNG imports last month as long-term contracts did more to fill the country’s tanks.
The nation imported 853,000 tonnes in October, a 2.7% improvement on 831,000 tonnes a year earlier, according to Bloomberg.
Still, the total marked a 25.8% drop on September’s near-record 1.15 million tonnes.
Spot cargoes made up a far smaller proportion of China’s imports last month, with one cargo from Egypt at $997 per tonne.
