China receives first Q-Max ship

Qatargas has sent its first Q-Max vessel to China with a shipment for PetroChina’s Jiangsu LNG terminal.

The volumes, which arrived onboard the 267,335-cbm Bu Samra (built 2008), were part of PetroChina’s 25-year supply deal with Qatargas 4 joint venture partners Qatargas and Shell Western LNG for 3 million tonnes per annum.

Deliveries to the Jiangsu LNG terminal operator will total 3 million tonnes per annum for 25 years.
