LNG imports into China bounded by 66% year-on-year in July to see a record 1.18 million tonnes recorded for the month.
The volumes also marked a 13% hike on June’s 1.02 million tonnes figure.
LNG costs also rose to an average of $433 a tonne for the month, which is nearly twice as much as a year earlier, according to Bloomberg’s analysis of General Administrations of Customs data.
