Brazil does the double on imports

Brazil imported 152,000 tonnes of LNG in July almost double the volume it took in during the same month in 2011.

However, the total was well down on the 250,000-280,000-tonnes the country has shipped in during the past few months of this year.

Of the July total some 94,000-tonnes was imported from Qatar and 580,000-tonnes from Trinidad & Tobago. During the month Brazil re-exported 98,000-tonnes to Argentina.
