BG Group has signed up for more exports at Cheniere Energy’s Sabine Pass LNG.
The agreement announced today involves 2 million tonnes per annum over 20 years, upping the UK gas giant’s total commitment at the Gulf Coast facility to 5.5 million tpa.
The deal will likely be seen as a major boost for Cheniere’s plans to build four liquefaction trains totalling 18 million tpa in capacity at its underutilised import terminal.
