India’s gas hungry Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation is due to receive up to 2.5 million tonnes per annum of LNG from BG Group over a 20 year period.
The two outfits have signed a heads of agreement which allows for supplies to kick off from as early as 2014.
Volumes will be sourced from UK-based BG Group’s global supply portfolio.
Negotiations are due to be completed and a fully-termed LNG sales and purchase agreement signed by early next year.
