Peter Livanos-led DryLog has exercised its options to buy two supramax bulkers previously controlled by Japan's MOL.
The 56,100-dwt Orient Jasmine (renamed Jasmine, built 2012) and 55,600-dwt Orient Orchid (renamed Orchid, built 2012) have gone for $35m enbloc, Greek shipbrokers say.
Market sources tell TradeWinds that Livanos already had the duo under charter. A DryLog executive was not available to confirm the deal or to discuss how the company had the purchase options in the first place.
