Michael Zolotas, chief executive of US-listed NewLead Holdings, is being detained in Athens on a Cypriot arrest warrant linking him to several wrongdoings, including alleged bribery.
Zolotas voluntarily produced himself at a Greek magistrate in Athens and has been taken into police custody, according to a Greek police source. Cyprus’s state-run news agency and other local media have also carried the news.
