Sovcomflot has failed in a bid to postpone the payment of $59.8m in compensation to private Russian shipowner, Yuri Nikitin.
The two have been back in London’s High Court arguing about various issues arising from an earlier ruling that Nikitin was entitled to compensation for some $377m of cash frozen as part of a long running fraud battle.
Sovcomflot company, Fiona Trust, asked Justice Males to delay the payout to Nikitin pending an appeal application by Fiona to the London Court of Appeal.
