An affiliate of Eyal Ofer’s Zodiac Maritime has filed asset-seizure lawsuits against Hanjin Shipping in California.
Montemp Maritime, the registered owner of Zodiac’s 3,670-teu Hanjin Louisiana (built 2013), filed one case in the federal court of Los Angeles in an effort to put its hands on $1.69m in unpaid charter bills.
A second identical case was filed in the US federal court in Baltimore.
