ING Bank is taking over operations of a Hanjin Shipping-owned containership off western Canada after filing a claim in the Federal Court in Vancouver.
The Dutch bank entered the case as it lodged the latest and largest of several claims against the 4,662-teu Hanjin Scarlet (built 2013), one of two containerships under arrest off Canada since shortly after the South Korean liner operator filed for bankruptcy in late August.
