Roger Stokes, who covered shipping, offshore andcommerce for Sheikh Tariq Abdullah, died on his way to hospital in Aden lastweek following an “awful accident”.
Former colleagues at the North of England P&I Clubhave led the tributes to the Newcastle native.
Nick Tonge, correspondent manager for the Club, toldlocal media: “He was a close friend to many of us.
“Every time he came back to the UK he would alwaysvisit the office.
