Alternative finance platform Yieldstreet has been awarded a summary judgment in London's High Court against Tahir Lakhani and his sons Ali and Hasan for $76.7m outstanding in loans.
Judge Richard Jacobs determined that Ali and Hasan are liable for the unpaid sum, which was loaned by five investment vehicles controlled by Yieldstreet to the Lakhanis' ship recycling business and for which the pair signed personal guarantees.
